Times Have Changed

Every year millions of advertisements reach the publics eye and creates the majority of  companies customers. The Public Relation business in the world today has changed drastically to cop with the new technology. The major products in the 19th century were shown based on actual hand held advertisements and clips on the radio. Before the invention of the internet and the television, advertisements were either written or broadcasted over the radio to reach the maximum number of buyers. The most popular written companies was the newspaper and the first couple magazines that incorporated adds along with general information. As technology advances the techniques for public relation teams must change to keep their customers interests met. Once the television and the internet took over the mass media market, the public gathered information from TV adds and pop ups that you can see from your computers. The public image has currently become more of an action and “bang” business than just putting your name out there for people to see. Society today is looking for produces that look appealing and things that shine over everything else. A couple examples of the current Public Advertisements that people cant escape are: Billboards near the freeway, video ads before you watch a youtube video, and pictures that pop up on the side of almost every web page.
